Assign a phone number to a user

A user can have one or more external phone numbers in Magic IP. Here’s how to assign a number or purchase a new one.

1. Access the Phone Numbers section

After selecting a user in the SmartPBX interface, click on the Phone Numbers tab. You’ll see a summary of the numbers assigned to this user. If none are assigned yet, you can add one here.



2. Add an existing number

Click on Add from available numbers to assign an existing number to this user. This allows the user to receive external calls directly via this number.

3. Purchase a new number

If you don’t have any available numbers, you can click on Purchase numbers to buy a new one. The number will be immediately added to the list of available numbers in your account.

4. Save changes

Once the number is assigned to the user, click on Save changes to finalise the operation.
