Configure a user’s advanced features

Magic IP allows you to configure advanced features for each user to optimise call handling and the user experience. Here’s an overview of the main features available.

1. Access advanced features

In the SmartPBX interface, select the user you want to configure, such as Angelina Jolie. Then go to the Features tab. You’ll see a grid of available options such as voicemail, call forwarding, and hold music.




2. Configure the Voicemail Box

The voicemail box allows the user to receive messages when unavailable. You can enable or disable this option and define how messages are delivered (by email or stored in the system).

3. Enable call forwarding

The call forwarding feature lets you redirect incoming calls to another user, extension, or external number. You can configure this to trigger after a set number of rings.

4. Manage other options

  • Hold music: Choose custom music to play while callers are on hold.
  • Incoming call recording: Enable this option to record calls – useful for compliance or training purposes.
  • Hot-desking: Allow users to log in to any phone in the company.
Click Save changes once the configuration is complete.
